Update on Judah 11.29.11

I can't even really explain how long today was for us.  Started out with an MRI (1 hour test), Ultra Sound (hour and half test), Echo on Judah via Ultra Sound (what seemed to be nearly two hours but I lost track of time), then Cardiology came in to tell us their findings....
I want to clarify that I fully believe that God is going to heal our little boy!  God allows us to walk down difficult paths for reasons and purposes far beyond our limited understanding.  The following information is what we were told by the doctors today.  They were great men and women and have extensive knowledge in their fields but at the end of the day they are mere human beings and my God reigns on the throne!  No disorder, disease or syndrome stands above Him.  I will tell you what they told us and if God were to choose not to heal our Judah then the following is what we are looking at.

I'll start with what they found in Cardiology: Judah has what is called Transposition of the Great Arteries.  That basically means that the Left ventricle that pumps the blue blood is flowing where the red blood (oxygenated blood) should be flowing and the Right (Red Blood) is flowing where the Blue blood should be flowing. This means that Judah would undergo open heart surgery after delivery to flip the ventricles back to where they should be.  Also the Aortic Valve is not the right size so the blood is flowing to quick through the ventricle - Kinda like if you were to place your thumb over half of a water hose... The water pumps out quicker and with more force.  They also think they might have seen a small hole in his heart between the right and left ventricles.  The heart issue is now the first priority and would be the first thing that Judah would undergo.
Now for Dandy-Walker (The Brain): The Cerebellum has not separated the way it should be so they would need to do some sort of brain surgery.  They use to do more shunts but now they are more often drilling holes in the brain (Not sure where exactly) so that the fluid drains properly.  Also the front portions of his brain might be enlarged.  They want the brain to me under 10ml (I think thats what it's called) and Judah's is under that amount which is good but they still think it could be enlarged slightly which could lend its self to a more severe Dandy Walker scenario then originally expected.  There is no way of really knowing for sure until delivery but they will do as many tests as possible so that at the time of delivery everything runs smooth for his own safety.  According to the Doctors complications of this magnitude could result in a still birth.
I will be delivering in Cincinnati and will be traveling back and forth for more tests and monitoring Judah's growth.  They think it's best for me to deliver there since (IF God doesn't heal Judah) He will need Open Heart Surgery immediately after delivery.
We fully believe God will come through and heal Judah! We don't believe the reports of the Doctors but we hold tight to the promises of God! This is the Fiery Furnace Faith! The Faith that Says OUR GOD IS ABLE TO DELIVER US BUT EVEN IF HE DOESN'T WE WILL NOT BOW! We will not bow to fear, sickness or worry! Our God is our strength and it's in HIM that we trust!  God has a plan for all us! Even my Judah! His plans are for GOOD! We don't always understand how bad things can ever be good but it's because we can't see through HIS eyes.  We think about ourselves and we begin to pity ourselves and really life isn't about us! It's about making HIM known! My son is making HIM known! Even in the womb he has purpose! Through Judah's tiny little life many people are coming together in much prayer and fasting! God is using this tiny little man to make me a better person! To make me love more fiercely, to hope more steadfastly, to make me a better christian, a better daughter, a better mother and better wife! Someone said to me today "Judah is lucky to have you as his momma" but the truth is I'm the one who is lucky! He is learning nothing from me but I am learning everything from him! I got to share with a host of doctors today that I serve a God who is able to heal our baby! Whether they believe that or not I do not care. I believe! I think about how amazing it will be to hear them say "His heart is normal! How did this happen?!" or "His cerebellum is completely normal. We can't explain this." and I will have yet another opportunity to share JESUS with them! To see lives saved, people transformed and people empowered because they saw God answer their prayers for Judah!
We want to thank every single one of you who have prayed and who are praying for Judah! Thank you for your prayers and thank you for agreeing with us for his healing! Be careful what you speak out of your mouth because it carries weight and power! When you pray for our boy speak life over him.
An old friend from Australia emailed me last week and she mentioned speaking the word of God over ever season of my pregnancy and that got me thinking.  I am going to get a bible with Judah James Robinson engraved on it and I am going to read from it to him every day!
I was reading in Ezekiel last night about the valley of dry bones...

Ezekiel 37:2-10  2He led me all around among the bones that covered the valley floor. They were scattered everywhere across the ground and were completely dried out. 3Then he asked me, “Son of man, can these bones become living people again?”
“O Sovereign Lord,” I replied, “you alone know the answer to that.”
4 Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again! 6 I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”
7 So I spoke this message, just as he told me. Suddenly as I spoke, there was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as complete skeletons. 8 Then as I watched, muscles and flesh formed over the bones. Then skin formed to cover their bodies, but they still had no breath in them.
9 Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to the winds, son of man. Speak a prophetic message and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, O breath, from the four winds! Breathe into these dead bodies so they may live again.’”
10 So I spoke the message as he commanded me, and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life and stood up on their feet—a great army.

SOOOOOO I'm speaking a prophetic word over my baby! Words of hope! Words of power! I hope you will join me!

Love and Blessings,
Jillian - Proud Mamma of Judah James Robinson

  2. I have never met you. My name is Russell Sparks, and I am a friend of Chucks from Living Faith Bible College. As I have been reading this I have found myself sobbing and pleading with God, in a way I never have before for someone outside my family. Our own baby girl, Isabelle was diagnosed with crainiosinistosis, a condition were there are no sutures in the skull for the brain to grow. She had an oblong head shape and the x- rays confirmed the diagnosis. We had many, many people praying. When they did the CT scan to plan the surgery, where they would cut into several sections of her skull, her CT scan came back normal! Praise God!

Lord I ask that your mighty power and strong arm will be revealed among Judah's family and their friends and the medical staff. May you touch this little boy just as you healed our little girl! In the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

May God give you peace beyond comprehension as you throw yourselves upon his mercy and love.

  3. Jillian, What an amazing momma you are! Praise God for His healing your little Judah will be receiving!! I will also be praying and fasting tomorrow for your precious son. I am a friend of KAthy Stephens Lewis. I seen your blog post on her facebook page.
I want to share something if i may. Just three weeks ago my daughter, whom is 5 months pregnant, was told that her little girl had a club foot and they were fairly certain she had Spina Bifida as well, all showing up on an extensive ultra sound. We immediately began to pray and asked all we knew that served our God to do the same. We went the next morning for another Ultra sound at another specialists office and there was NOTHING at all showing up abnormal with our little Natalee Joy!!! We sobbed with thankgiving and my daughter shared with the tech there that we believed God healed Natalee over night!! <3 PTL!
God Bless you and i so look forward to reading this blog in the future with the praises of Judahs' healing!!

  4. Hey, I just saw this through a post from a Facebook friend, but my mom works in the NICU at Cincinnati Children's and it's one of the best places in the nation! The stories about how tiny little babies overcome so much is amazing to me, and I don't know where he would go for surgery or anything but I know he's in good hands. Praying for you and Judah!

  6. Hi there--I found your blog from a link on a different blog :) If you are on facebook, you should search for a group called "Hydro Families" and request to be added. There are tons of mom's there that can help you through anything you need to know about hydrocephalus, shunts and the Dandy Walker aspect of your son's diagnosis. My son has acquired hydrocephalus (as opposed to congenital hydrocephalus, which is what it sounds like you're dealing with), and they have been a great support to us as we figure this out.

Best of luck, and many prayers.

  7. I do not know you just came across this from Facebook, I had two terminal disease at one time in my life and I know what kind of life. Long term illness are all about. One of the disease was very rare it took over two years of going from hospital to hospital just to tell me the was no cure, the other was a very advance form of leuk. I am alive and well today because of my Lord, my healer, and I now pastor.
I would like to share something with you and pass along some scriptures. First God loves your son more than you and has not allowed this to happen he wants all to be in good health. Deut 28 talks about what he considers a blessing and what is a curse, the first 14 verses are the blessings, the next 50 some verse are the curse, you'll find sickness there, there are also many scripture pslams 10:3 e that lupm sin and sickness together.
JOHN 10:10 GIVES US WHAT IS FROM GOD and what is not, anything that steals, kills or destroys is not of God nor used by God.
Job 37:23 God does not afflict, psalms 5:4 he is good, psalms 119;68 he is giid and does good.
Gods will is for health, your not fighting for God to heal he wants that, your battleing satn who wishes to steal it. Remember God does not use evil, sin or the curse, he's about love, as you love your child your love for him does not wish to arm but to protect.
2 peter 1:2-4 tells us he wants us to oartake of his divine nature not hold it back. God is a giver by nature, but our advesary the their will come in and take what is ours if we let him.
I say all this because I have been the and seen the battle first hand. I. Am only trying to help and if I can help in any way please let me know, we will be praying though as you fight this battle. I leave youq with jer.29:11 god has an expected good end, now fight for it.
